THINK Interactive, Inc. Launches THINKlab
Division to create a test bed for emerging media and technology exploration
ATLANTA (June 30, 2008) - THINK Interactive, Inc., an Atlanta-based interactive marketing agency announces the launch of THINKlab. This new division focuses on research and development of emerging media platforms and new technologies in areas such as widgets, mobile, social media and other quickly advancing interactive areas.
“For us, it’s still about the idea, but new media platforms and technologies allow us to push further and execute faster as we explore ways to engage customers and build value for our clients brands”, says Chris Wilson, principal and managing partner of THINK Interactive. “We began building THINKlab about a year ago and now have a fully dedicated team focused on R&D, piloting and building prototypes, working as a beta partner for companies like Adobe for AIR and Flex and consulting on innovative marketing technologies for our staff and clients.”
THINKlab’s mission is to explore, educate and demonstrate new digital trends and technologies in a setting that allows staff and clients to expand their thinking around marketing innovation. Current activities include:
- Deploying widgets and desktop applications for consumer engagement and commerce
- Creating iPhone applications
- Integrating Open Social, OPenID and OAuth
- Applying and refining Agile workflow methodologies for faster development cycles
- Defining semantic structures for Web 3.0 implementations
Daniel Davenport, director or THINKlab is a pioneer and industry leader for over 15 years in the interactive and new media arena. He has a wide range of experience working with many global brands on their digital programs and was the founder of Interweb one of the first, dedicated interactive marketing agencies back in 1994.
“The emergence of application platforms, location-aware mobile devices and semantic technologies will spur the next phase of growth in the digital arena,” explains Davenport. “Our mission is to introduce and educate our clients on new methods of reaching their consumers with developing technologies in interactive social spaces.”
